There are many beautiful lace stitches that can be crocheted. One of these is the crochet Arcade Stitch. You can see a small swatch of this pattern stitch in the photo above. This is a variety of shell stitch, that makes a pretty eyelet lace type fabric.

What can I make with the crochet Arcade Stitch?
You can use the crochet Arcade Stitch for almost anything! With the written stitch pattern instructions below, you could easily make a scarf, shawl, or blanket.
With more planning and figuring it could be used for a hat, sweater, shawl, or skirt. I’ve designed a crochet poncho for children that uses this pretty lace crochet stitch. Roland Poncho is a crochet pattern in sizes 2-10.

Ch a multiple of 6 sts, ch 2 more.
Row 1 (WS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, sk next ch, *sc in next ch, ch 3, skip next ch, sc in next ch**, ch 3, skip 3 chs, repeat from * to last 2 chs, ending last repeat at **, ch 1, skip next ch, sc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, *(dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-3 sp**, working over next ch-3 sp, sc in middle ch of 3 skipped chs of foundation ch, repeat from * to last 2 sts, ending last repeat at **, skip next st and final ch sp, sc in last st, turn.
Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), skip first 2 sts, *sc in next ch sp, ch 3, skip next 2 sts, sc in next ch sp**, ch 3, skip 3 sts, repeat from * to last 2 sts, ending last repeat at **, ch 1, skip next st, dc in last st, turn.
