What if I’ve never knit lace before?
If you don’t have much experience knitting lace, check out my video tutorial! I worked on several rows of this wrap along with the chart in a video to show knitters how you work from a chart and how to do the stitches used in this pattern!
What materials do I need for this project?
The yarn for this free summer knitting pattern is Cascade Ultra Pima Fine in #3767 Deep Coral. I used nearly all of six skeins for this wrap. You will need a full six skeins. If you plan to make the wrap any larger, you will need more.
You will also need US size 4 (3.5 mm) knitting needles. I recommend this colorful Prism Aluminum Options Interchangeable Circular Set from KnitPicks. I have this needle set and love using it!
You will also need a tapestry needle to weave in your ends when you finish knitting your summer wrap.

Corallia Wrap, Free Summer Knitting Pattern

As with all my patterns, please do not make paper or digital copies for others. Instead, please direct them to my website to get their own. Thank you!
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Finished Measurements: About 14 ½ x 68 inches.
Tip: If you are interested in making yours wider or longer you can make it wider by adding multiples of six to your CO. You can make it longer by stitching more rows in the lace section. Making it larger will require more yarn.
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine (100% Pima Cotton; 136.7 yds; 50 g; yarn weight category: 2/fine): #3767 Deep Coral, 6 skeins.
Knitting Needles: Size 4 (3.5 mm) straights or circulars, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 4 patt reps x 43 rows = About 4 7/8 inches (12.5 cm) square in Simple Lace Pattern from Super Stitches Knitting by Karen Hemingway.
Notes
Wrap begins at one short edge with a 7 rows of garter st. After that, you continue to work 6 sts of garter st edging on each side with a lace pattern in the center section. You work across to the other short edge, where you will end with another 7 rows of garter st.
