How to make earrings from crochet
To crochet earrings you’ll first need to decide on a yarn or thread to use and the appropriate size of crochet hook to go with it. There are options here. Some crochet earrings are made with thin yarn and some with thread.
You can find several crochet patterns for earrings and other jewelry in my crochet jewelry pattern roundup!
This chart from the Craft Yarn Council of America suggests a range of appropriate hook sizes based on the thickness of yarn you are using. Using a hook on the smaller end of the range will produce smaller, tighter stitches. Using a hook on the larger end of the range will produce larger, looser stitches.
Once you’ve chosen your yarn or thread and hook you can choose a crochet pattern or you can freehand and experiment and come up with your own design!
I have a flower earring crochet pattern here that you could use.
And a heart earring crochet pattern here.

Crochet Hook: Steel crochet hook 1.4 to 1.6 mm
Notions: 2 locking stitch markers, tapestry needle, 1 white paper treat stick like are used in candy making, craft glue, 2 French earring hooks, pliers.

Notes
The colors in the Lollipop Rounds spiral around one another.
The earring begins with half the stitches in color A. When you finish the color A stitches, you will take the color A loop off your hook, put a locking stitch marker in the loop to keep it from unraveling, put a slip knot of color B on your hook, and then make the color B stitches. You will not join the last stitch to the first one at the end of the round.
The next round begins by continuing with color B and placing the first stitch directly into the first color A stitch of round 1. Put a locking stitch marker into the first stitch to mark the beginning of the round. You will continue working in color B for half the round, working all of these stitches into color A stitches from round 1. Then you will take the color B loop off your hook, move the stitch marker from the color A loop to the color B loop, put your hook in the color A loop, and begin stitching into the color B stitches for the second half of round 2.
If you aren’t familiar with this method of working, I highly suggest you watch the tutorial video until you get the hang of it. It is different from the normal method of working in the round.

Lollipop Rounds (make 4)
With A, make a Magic Ring by wrapping the yarn around the first two fingers of your dominant hand one full time. With your other hand, carefully grab both strands where they meet and pull the ring off your fingers, place your hook through this ring, yarn over, pull up a loop, and you are ready to begin Rnd 1.

Assembly
Weave all ends through just a few sts and cut ends off short enough to hide between two lollipop rounds. We wouldn’t normally do this in a crochet project, but it works here because the back of this piece will be covered in glue.
Cut the ends off the treat stick into two 1 inch pieces.
Set two lollipop rounds WS up on a flat surface. Cover the surface of each with craft glue. Lay the cut end of one treat stick piece at the center of one Lollipop Round with the other end extending over the edge. Place the second Lollipop Round glue side down over the first, sandwiching the treat stick between them. Press together and lay a heavy book over the top to hold it flat while drying if needed. Repeat for second set of rounds. Allow both to dry.
Use pliers to open the ring at the bottom of an earring hook, place it through the top of a set of lollipop rounds, then close the ring with the pliers. Repeat for second set of rounds.
That finishes this crochet lollipop earrings pattern. I hope you have loved making your own lollipop earrings! Please share them with me! It would make my day to see them. You can join my friendly Facebook group and share them there or you can share them on Instagram and tag me.
Happy crocheting!
