Crochet Summer Shrug Pattern to Fit Up To 60″ Bust
Crochet summer shrug pattern
I’m so thrilled to tell you about this crochet summer shrug pattern! I was asked to design a crochet pattern for the July 2022 KnitCrate LL Yarn Co. Quarterly Retreat Club! I was given a beautiful mood board of sunsets and sunscapes to inspire the design along with the request that it be something for the home or to wear, but not a shawl. I’m guessing they get a lot of shawl designs.

What can you do with 800 yds of sport weight?
I was excited to see if I could design a size-inclusive openwork shrug with the 800 yds (300 g) of sport weight yarn that would come in the box to subscribers. It turns out that that was just enough to make a shrug that could work for almost anyone. The pattern includes four sizes so you can choose how tightly or loosely you’d like your shrug to fit. When I make one for myself to keep, I’ll be making the largest size because I want a nice loose fit (not to mention that I’m not exactly petite).
Four sizes may not seem like enough to work for a large range of body sizes, however, this shrug is meant to have an oversize fit, so those four sizes do cover a large range.

Where can I get this shrug pattern?
Originally the pattern was available exclusively from KnitCrate. Sadly, KnitCrate closed in December 2022. But the good news is that they have returned the pattern rights to me. As such, you can purchase this lovely crochet shrug pattern from me on Ravelry or Etsy.
