Why crochet jewelry?

If you’ve strictly crocheted the typical afghans and scarves in the past, you may be wondering, why on earth would I want to crochet jewelry? Do people actually do that?

Yes! People do crochet jewelry, and it’s fun! There are some great reasons to crochet jewelry.

First, crochet jewelry patterns are usually super quick to finish. You can often start and finish a crochet jewelry project in the same day, sometimes even in an hour or less!

Crochet jewelry patterns often use only a very small amount of thread or yarn. That means that they are a great choice for using up scrap yarn.

Because crochet jewelry is quick to make and uses very little yarn/thread, these patterns are also excellent choices for both gifting and selling! Need to churn out gifts for teachers, bridesmaids, sisters, etc? Need to bulk up on stock for an upcoming craft market? Crochet jewelry patterns are perfect for these cases!

Free crochet earring patterns

For most crochet earrings, you’ll need to purchase French earring hooks to attach to your crocheted piece. You’ll also need jewelry pliers to open and then close the loop at the bottom of the earring hook.
