Each of the squares in the Fall Feels Throw Blanket has 25 single crochet stitches per side when finished so that they are ready to be joined together into a blanket, scarf, pillow, or table runner.

The Fall Feels CAL

The Fall Feels CAL is a fun event to learn new stitches, meet crochet friends, and crochet an autumn afghan. The first square was released on October 4th, and this new puff stitch square on November 1st. Each Tuesday through November 15 a new section of the pattern will be released. On the final Tuesday of the crochet along, participants will get the assembly and edging instructions for the blanket.

In addition to crocheting this fall throw blanket, you can visit with other participants in my Facebook group. Participation in the discussion there will also count as entries in a giveaway for three fall-themed stitch marker sets.

What skills will I need to crochet this puff stitch square?

This crochet puff stitch square starts in the center with a magic circle. It uses double crochet, single crochet, and half double crochet stitches. It also uses puff stitches. Puff stitches are made by yarning over, going in to the stitch, and pulling up an extra long loop three times. Then you yo, pull through all loops, and chain to close the top. If you need a visual for any of these stitches, or to help you with placement of the stitches, watch the video below.
