3 Textured Crochet Patterns for Ear Warmers
Ear warmer textured crochet patterns
This collection of textured crochet patterns features three ear warmer headbands. These small projects are a great way to try out a new stitch pattern that you are just learning!
Ear Warmers are small, portable projects that are great for taking with you to work on when you are away from home. They are great summertime projects because they are small and won’t heat up your lap. And they use only a small amount of yarn, so you may be able to make one with scrap yarn.

Anyone can wear an ear warmer: babies, children, tweens, teens, men, and women. I especially love mine for cold weather walks and hikes, when you want to keep your ears covered, but may become too warm for a full hat. They also work well when you have your hair up. Since they use only a small amount of yarn and can be used by anyone, they make great gifts!

Textured crochet stitch patterns
Each of the crochet ear warmers in this collection uses crochet post stitches to make the texture. If you aren’t familiar with crochet post stitches, check out my video tutorial to learn how these are done.
Crochet post stitches have a neat effect on the stitches underneath them. The stitch underneath gets bent so that the post pops out to one side and the top leans over and shows on the other side.

Want to know more about the patterns in this collection?
First is my recently released crochet pattern Hennessey Headband. It uses one skein of We Crochet Chroma Worsted. This pattern is written in multiple sizes to fit preemies, babies, toddlers children, adult S, and adult L, so there is a size for everyone. You can read more about the Hennessey Headband on my blog here, or see it’s listing on Ravelry here. Hennessey Headband is only available as a part of this collection.
Hollis Headband is a simple ribbed headband. This pattern is only written in one size, but it is very stretchy, so it works well for both children and adults. My 10 year old daughter was modeling it in this pick, but I wear the same one at times and it fits me just as well. This textured crochet pattern also uses one skein of worsted weight yarn.
This ear warmer crochet pattern can be purchased as part of this collection, or you can get a free version of this individual headband pattern on my website. See the Ravelry listing here.
The third in this collection of textured crochet patterns is called Piedmont Headband. It uses the beautiful basketweave stitch, which is not as hard as it looks! This pattern is written in two sizes to fit children and adults. This pattern also uses just one skein of worsted weight yarn.
Of course, you can get this beautiful textured crochet pattern as part of this collection, but you can also get this crochet pattern free here on my website. See this crochet pattern on Ravelry here.
