May Makes Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Makes Blog Hop, a collection of spring crochet patterns that will rotate throughout the month of May. Each week will bring you a new selection of free crochet pattern downloads!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Come to this post each week this month to get links to all the free patterns for the week.
  2. Write down the coupon code for the week. It will be different for each week of the blog hop.
  3. Click the link in this post for each pattern you want.
  4. Find the download button in the designer’s post and click it (some links may take you directly to Ravelry to get the download).

Week of May 1-7

First up for this week, we have the Free As A Breeze Tee from Carroway Crochet, who organized this fun blog hop! This tee is a perfect first sweater project because of it’s simple design!

The Sunday Clutch is from The Loophole Fox. This dainty purse will be a light accessory to carry out on a date, to the prom, or on any special occasion! I think I might do as the name suggests and carry it to church on Sunday!

Next up is my own design, Marietta Kerchief! Make this lacy head scarf for wearing on road trips, to festivals, or to picnics.

The Apache Tears Mug Rugs are from My Crochet Space. I’ve actually never tried this stitch pattern before, but I love how it looks! This cute little pattern could be perfect any any number of color combos, but I’m envisioning red, white, and blue for Independence Day!

The Granny Triangle Bandana is from designer My Fingers Fly. I love hair kerchiefs, as you may have noticed from my own design above. With this second head scarf, you have choices! I might make some of each to take with me camping or to fiber shows this summer!

Tumblebee Bumble Bee is from Off the Hook For You. I know that bumble bee amigurumi are all the rage right now, but I’m out of the loop enough to not know why, lol! But, I feel sure that someone you love will love this little cutie!

Pine Tree Crochet designed this Star Cat Toy that your furry friends will love! I might make one for my own cat, Stella! Have you ever spotted her in one of my YouTube videos? I used to do most of my videos outside and she routinely comes up to me meowing while I’m outside.

Warmest Feet Ever Slipper Socks may not work for everyone in the spring, but I always seem to have freezing cold feet no matter the temperature outside! Anyone else? I would love having these to wear to bed at night!

Taco Scrubby is a fun kitchen project from My Fingers Fly. I have a particular friend that really loves tacos that I think of when I see these. Maybe I need to make them as a gift for her!

Off The Hook For You is the designer of Oval Stair Baskets. Living in a home with stairs myself, I can say that these are a very good idea! I frequently pick things up in the living room that my kiddos need to take upstairs, and now their things can go in their baskets!

The Scrappy Block Scarf from Sunflower Cottage Crochet could be a great way to use up scraps! That counts as spring cleaning, right?!

Week of May 15-21

The next free pattern this week is from me! My Plastic Baskets are a marvelous spring cleaning project. You’ll recycle and use up that stash of plastic bags you have, and make yourself baskets for organizing odds and ends while you’re at it!

Pam’s Cozy Corner brings us the Golden Glamour Lacy Scarf. A lacy scarf like this one is a wonderful spring accessory to add color to your outfit without adding warmth.

  3. FYI: The summer waves mug rug from Pine Tree Chrochet button, doesn’t currently work. Their site doesn’t have it to download, they have a different one. Is there a way to fix the link? Thank you!
