Crinkle Dishcloth, a Free Crochet Dishcloth Pattern

Free crochet dishcloth pattern
Crinkle Dishcloth is a free crochet dishcloth pattern in crochet crinkle stitch. Crinkle stitch has a little bit of texture to it, so it makes a nice stitch pattern for a dishcloth. This dishcloth is about 8 inches square and it’s made in 100% cotton yarn, so it’s perfect for scrubbing dishes, washing, drying, and using again.
Make a few of these in different colors and give them as housewarming gifts to match the recipient’s decor! Or make them for your own kitchen and enjoy using what you’ve made. Maybe it can make dish washing a little more fun!

Crinkle stitch
Have you seen crinkle stitch before? It’s made by alternating single and treble crochet stitches on wrong side rows, and single crocheting across on right side rows. I have a video tutorial for the crinkle stitch here. This should help any newbies and make this pattern easy as pie since it’s just a square in crinkle stitch.
What yarn should I use for this dishcloth?
I used Plymouth Yarn Fantasy Naturale, which is a worsted weight cotton. I’ve had two skeins of this yarn in my stash for ages! You can get Fantasy Naturale on Amazon here. You could also use a different worsted weight cotton yarn like Lily Sugar n’ Cream or Lion Brand Re-Up, which is a recycled cotton yarn.
