A crochet headband with flowers

Bloom Headband is a crochet headband with flowers, though really it’s crochet flowers sewn to an elastic headband. The great thing about that is that you can place the flowers however you like and you can easily make this for any size head, by just using an elastic headband sized for the person that will wear it.

The pattern gives instructions for the four flowers you see in the picture. The center flower in the picture is actually two flowers layered together. You stitch these to an elastic headband of any size, so you can make this for a baby, child, teen, or adult. Make just the flowers you like, or all of them. You can place them wherever you like on your headband, so it is very versatile!

How do you crochet the flowers for this headband?

Well, you will follow the written pattern of course. But below are some helpful tutorials for the crochet flowers if you need them.

Could I use this crochet pattern to make a flower crown?

You sure can! If you crochet multiples of each flower, you can arrange the crochet flowers on the headband however you like. You can use either an elastic headband, as I did, or a plastic headband. You can overlap or even layer some of the flowers, or you can place them all separately.

You can use as many colors as you like. All your flowers can be the same color, or they can all be different. You could add beads, sequins, or rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.

If you attach the flowers to an elastic headband you can glue or sew the flowers in place. If you sew them, use matching or clear thread.

If you will use a plastic headband, I suggest gluing the flowers to the headband, or two a piece of felt with the headband sandwiched in between the flower and the felt.
