Marietta Kerchief, a Lacy Crochet Kerchief Pattern

The Marietta Kerchief is made with just one ball of We Crochet Comfy in the fingering weight. It is a nice, soft 75% Pima Cotton, 25% Acrylic yarn. I made one of these vintage-inspired hair kerchiefs in #24812 White and one in #25759 Parchment. My thanks to We Crochet for providing the yarn for this design!

Note There are 16 long ch sps along long edge of kerchief. In Row 1 I will refer to each of these ch sps as a “section” and each section also includes the group of stitches that comes after the ch sp.

Row 1 (RS) With RS facing, ch 18, working along long edge of bandana sc in bottom of first st, *7 sc in next section, 8 sc in next section, repeat from * across, one additional sc in bottom of last st, ch 19, turn – 122 sts, 2 ch sections

Row 2 Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch and st across, turn – 158 sts.

Row 3 Ch 1, sk first st, sc in next and each st across to last st, turn, leaving last st unworked – 156 sts.

Rows 4-6 Repeat Row 3 – 150 sts. Fasten off.
