A free crochet shawl pattern

Hello friends! I’m so excited to bring you this new free crochet shawl pattern! Sonoran Sunrise Wrap is striped rectangular shawl/wrap. It uses two colorways of sock yarn, each with gradual, long color shifts that are beautiful!

I’m enamored with this beautiful, generously-sized wrap! I’m going to buy myself a new maxi dress just so that I can wear this wrap to church (because it always seems to be freezing in the chapel!).

This post contains affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I will earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. See my disclosure for details.

What materials do I need to crochet this shawl?

I’ve stitched this beauty in Cascade Heritage Wave. Each 100 g skein of this 75/25 Merino and nylon blend sock yarn includes 437 yds of yarn. Every colorway shifts gradually from one shade to the next. This wrap uses 4 skeins of the main colorway, and 1 skein of an accent color. I’m seriously tempted to make another one with a different color combination!

In addition to the pretty yarn, you will need a size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook. If your gauge isn’t even close to mine with that size hook, you may need to adjust, but since it’s a wrap, don’t feel like your gauge has to be perfect. It won’t hurt if the wrap is a tad larger or smaller than mine

Lastly, you will need a tapestry needle to weave in your ends.
