Eufaula Cardigan, a Free Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Eufaula Cardigan, a free cardigan knitting pattern for this casual women's cardigan from Banana Moon Studio

A free cardigan knitting pattern

Eufaula Cardigan is a free cardigan knitting pattern for this casual women’s cardigan. This cozy cardigan is knit in Cascade Yarns Eco+ Hemp! This is a weight 3/light yarn that is 80% Peruvian Highland Wool and 20% Hemp. You will need three or four skeins to complete the cardigan, depending on which size you are making.

The pattern and the stitches involved are pretty simple. My hope was to design a cardigan that a near beginner could make.

I also wanted to take this yarn and work it on extra big needles to make a cardigan that feels lightweight and not too warm. So, this is going to be your best friend in fall or spring!

The free pattern is below! You can get an ad-free PDF, which includes a schematic, for just $2.00 on Etsy, Ravelry, and LoveCrafts.

Finishing

For help with this, see my video tutorial about seaming sweaters! With cardigan WS out, sew shoulder seams, leaving about a 6 inches [15 cm] space between front panels. I suggest using a backstitch.

With sweater WS out and one sleeve RS out, place sleeve inside of sweater. Sleeve increases line up with bottom of armhole, raw edges of sleeve and armhole even. Use clips or locking stitch markers to hold edges together as you seam. Seam sleeve to sweater. Repeat with second sleeve.

Block sweater, especially bottom ribbing. Weave in ends.

All finished! As always, please do not make copies of this free cardigan knitting pattern for others! Instead, direct them to my website so that they can get their own copy! Thank you!
