Free Knitting Pattern for Fingerless Gloves on Straight Needles
Knitting pattern for fingerless gloves
This pretty knitting pattern for fingerless gloves uses straight needles and is worked flat rather than in the round. It makes it a pretty easy knitting pattern since you are just knitting a flat piece of fabric with no shaping.

Difficulty Level: Easy
Available Sizes: 2 years [4 years, 6 years, adult S, adult L] or hand circumferences 5 [6, 6 1/2, 7 1/2, 8 1/2] inches.
Finished Measurements of Glove: Hand circumference unstretched 3 1/2 [4, 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2] inches; Length 7 [7 3/4, 8 1/4, 10 1/2, 11 3/4] inches.
Yarn: King Cole Wildwood Chunky (100% Recycled Wool; 207 yds; 100 g; yarn weight category: 3/Light/DK): 1 skein #5025 Heather. This yarn is available through your local yarn shop.
Note about yarn: The yarn I used is labeled as chunky. At 13 WIP, it falls more in the range of DK yarn, so you will have better results with yarn substitutions if you use a DK weight wool yarn.
Knitting Needles: Size US 6 (4 mm) straight needles. Adjust needle size if needed to match gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 23 sts x 23 rows = About 4 inches stretched in 2×2 ribbing.
