What will I need to crochet dishcloth patterns?
Nearly all crochet dishcloths use cotton yarn. This is because cotton is very absorbent, which we want in a dishcloth. The dishcloths in the this crochet pattern roundup don’t all use the same size, or thickness of yarn, so you’ll want to refer to your chosen pattern before purchasing, but below are a few suggestions for worsted weight cotton, which will probably cover most of them.
Lily Sugar ‘n’ Cream worsted weight cotton
WeCrochet Dishie worsted weight cotton
Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton worsted weight
You’ll also need a crochet hook, of course. My favorite crochet hooks are the Streamline Resin crochet hooks from Furl’s Fiberarts. They have thick, ergonomic handles, are light weight, feature an inline hook shape, and have lots of pretty colors!
Last, you’ll need a tapestry needle for weaving in your ends when you’re finished.
