First up, Sweet Little Hat. This hat pattern is written in sizes from Preemie to 3T! It has a simple look with a crochet “button” for an accent. Uses 1 skein for most sizes, 2 for the largest, of Valley Yarns Superwash DK. The accent “button” can be made with about 12 yards of something in your stash.

One of my personal favorite baby gifts to crochet are these Sweet Little Mittens, which go perfectly with the hat above. This pattern is available in sizes from Newborn to 2T. One set uses just 1 skein of Valley Yarns Superwash DK and the accent buttons will only need a small amount of yarn you can probably find in your stash. These work up pretty quickly, so if you don’t have much time before the baby shower, this is a great choice!

Hinton Hat is a squishy, stretchy, ribbed hat that is worked from side to side instead of in the round. The pattern includes sizes for babies, children, and adults. It uses worsted weight yarn. Short rows are used to shape the crown, and the pattern includes helpful videos. Crochet it with a striping yarn or a solid colorway.

One of the most beautiful baby gifts to crochet is Tiffany Blanket. It begins with a square panel worked in rows of Moss Stitch. A wide, colorful edging is worked around that center panel. This blanket uses soft, washable, DK weight yarn in six colors.

Edmond Sweater is a classic baby sweater. The pattern is written in sizes 3 months to 18 months. It includes instructions to crochet the frog closure yourself! It also uses my favorite, Valley Yarns Superwash DK. You’ll need 2 skeins of the main color and 2 skeins of the coordinating color.

This sweet crochet baby dress is based on a dress I crocheted for my own baby and it was actually my first published crochet pattern! It was originally published in Interweave Crochet, and is now available as a digital download on their site. The pattern is written in sizes 3 months to 3T! You’ll need 2 to 3 skeins of Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo, satin ribbon, 3 buttons, and 3/4 to 1 yd of coordinating fabric.

Pryor Creek Jr is a unisex baby sweater in sizes from 3 months to 4T. It uses Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Effects, a worsted weight wool. The sweater is worked from the bottom-up with raglan seams. There is almost no seaming to be done! The front is ribbed with post stitches and the back and sleeves are smooth. The pattern includes helpful videos for construction and stitches.
