Baby shower gifts to crochet, crochet patterns by Banana Moon Studio

Are you attending a baby shower soon? Looking for a one of a kind handmade gift to crochet? I have five great patterns for adorable baby items! I’ll provide some specifics and the pattern links below so you’ll have one of these ready to go for the shower!

Baby shower gifts to crochet, baby hat crochet pattern preemie to 3T

First up, Sweet Little Hat. This hat pattern is written in sizes from Preemie to 3T! It has a simple look with a crochet “button” for an accent. Uses 1 skein for most sizes, 2 for the largest, of Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK, which is not expensive and is SO soft! The accent “button” can be made with about 12 yards of something in your stash. Get the pattern on Ravelry or Etsy.

The companion pattern to the baby hat above, is this one, Sweet Little (Rounded) Mittens. (I originally designed these mittens with a more elongated shape, and then these, which, it turned out, I liked better). This pattern is available in sizes from Newborn to 2T. One set uses just 1 skein of Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK and the accent buttons will only need a small amount of yarn you can probably find in your stash. These work up pretty quickly, so if you don’t have much time before the baby shower, this is a great choice! You can get the pattern on both Ravelry and Etsy.

This beauty is Tiffany Blanket. I actually used the same yarn, Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK for this blanket (and the next pattern too! I really love this yarn!). The pattern uses 3 skeins of #19 Misty Lilac, 3 skeins of #15 Blue Mist, 1 skein of #14 Teal, 1 skein of #08 Copper, 1 skein of #07 Red, and 1 skein of #02 Steel Gray. I had a fun time with color and edging as I designed this blanket! It comes out to about 26.5 inches square (67.5 cm). This pattern is free right here on my blog!

Take me to the pattern please!

Edmond Sweater is a classic baby sweater. The pattern is written in sizes 3 months to 18 months. It includes instructions to crochet the frog closure yourself! It also uses my favorite, Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK. You’ll need 2 skeins of the main color. I used #6 Burgundy. And you will need 2 skeins of the coordinating color, which in this case was #5 Dark Brown. You can get this pattern on Ravlery and Etsy at the links below!

The pattern is written in sizes 3 months to 3T! You’ll need 2 to 3 skeins of Lionbrand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo. I used the color Hyacinth. You’ll also need some satin ribbon, 3 buttons, and 3/4 to 1 yd of coordinating fabric.
