A few weeks ago I released my free Children’s Scrubs Costume crochet pattern! One of the somewhat challenging parts of making crochet pants is where you move from the legs to the top of the pants that go around the hips. I have a video below to show you just how to work that section of the pattern! Next week I will have a second video showing you how to make the casing around the waist and insert the drawstring.

The pants of the Children’s Scrubs Costume crochet pattern are made by starting at the ankle. You crochet each leg separately up to the crotch. Then in the next round you start working around the hips while attaching both legs together. This can be a little difficult to describe, as well as to envision, if you haven’t ever made crochet pants before.

Be on the lookout next week for a second video that demonstrates how to make the casing and insert the drawstring around the waist!
