Difficulty Level: Easy
Finished Measurements:
Mittens – About 7 ¼ inches long from wrist to fingertip and 8 ¼ inches around hand [18.5 cm long from wrist to fingertip and 21 cm around hand].
Cowl – About 7 ½ inches wide and 33 inches around [19 cm wide and 84 cm around].
Headband – About 3 ¼ inches wide and 16 ½ inches around [8.5 cm wide and 42 cm around]. This stretches to fit a wide range of sizes.
Yarn: Plymouth Yarn Gina Chunky (100% Wool; 131 yds; 100 g; yarn weight category: 5/bulky): 2 skeins #102 Brights.
Knitting Needles:
US Size 9 (5.5 mm) 40 inch circulars (for Magic Loop) or DPNs.
US Size 10 (6 mm) 40 inch circulars (for Magic Loop)
US size 10 (6 mm) 24 inch circulars or DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge.
If you change the larger needle size to match gauge, then use needles one size smaller than those instead of the US size 9 (5.5 mm) needles.
Gauge: 15 sts x 19 rows = 4 inches in stockinette st on larger needles.
Notes
All 3 pieces are worked in the rnd with RS always facing, except for the 5 rows of the mitten thumbhole. You will work flat for those 5 rows.
I suggest that for all three pieces, you use the Super Stretchy Bind-off when binding off is needed. See instructions below.
See this tutorial post for help knitting these pieces.
