Free Yarn Giveaway October 2021

My yarn giveaway for October 2021 has begun! Three skeins of Kraemer Perfection Chunky yarn.

Free yarn giveaway for October 2021

This month’s free yarn giveaway is underway! The winner will receive three skeins of Kraemer Perfection Chunky. Two skeins are the color #7133 Raggedy Andy and one of them is color #7126 Ragg Time. This yarn is a 5/chunky weight blend of 30% Domestic Merino and 70% Acrylic. By “domestic” they mean that the merino wool they used was produced in the USA. Each skein weight 100 g and contains about 120 yds of yarn. The yarn is a three-ply with one dyed strand and two natural white strands.

The winner will also receive a Banana Moon Studio stitch marker and button! The winner can choose if they would like their stitch marker to have a lobster clasp or just a ring. The jar of crochet hooks is not part of the prize, sorry. It’s just there for decoration.

What can you make with this yarn?

I designed a super scarf in this yarn and a marvelous sweater. However, I don’t have enough of this yarn left to give you the right amount to make either of those. Though you could probably make a shorter version of the scarf with three skeins.

A Ravelry search turned up 39 patterns designed in this yarn, so that would be a good place to look for ideas!

How do I enter this free yarn giveaway?

That’s easy! To enter this free yarn giveaway you just leave a comment below! You can get additional entries by sharing this post publicly on social media with the hashtag #bananamoonstudiogiveaway. I will choose and announce the winner on Monday October 25th! If you are the winner, I will email you to let you know! Giveaway is only open to residents of North America. Sorry foreign friends! I love all my followers, but I can’t spend a fortune on shipping.

Happy stitching!

  10. The Kraemer Perfection Chunky yarn’s color/white mixture is one of my favorite yarn patterns. It makes completed hats and scarves look much more classy. Also, the fact that the merino wool in the Kraemer Perfection Chunky yarn is produced in the USA, makes the yarn a plus for me.

I’m always excited to try out different types of yarn, and this is one that I’ve yet to use., so would welcome the opportunity to do so!

  12. This is a new-to-me yarn and I am absolutely loving marled yarns right now!! Would love to try it if I won or even if I have to buy it, it is definitely going on my wishlist. Thank you for the giveaway and Good Luck Everyone!!

  13. Thank you for the opportunity to win some yarn. I donate almost everything I make to a local women’s shelter. So I do kids stuffies, blankets as well as the winter necessities for kids, teens, adult women. Women flee their abusive homes in the middle of the night scared with nothing but their kids and what they are wearing. I hope that I can make one child smile through something so awful.

  14. As a new beginner to crochet ( 2 months now) I am excited to see all the neat things I can make with this yarn. I like learning about the different kinds of yarns and what each one can produce. thank you for the opportunity to enter and win this set.

  15. Thank you for this lovely Scarf pattern. I’m making about 10 sets of hat and scarfs for Christmas presents. I have never tried these brands of yarns on your site but would like to try them. I’ll be 73 in a few days. I love to crochet and make stuff for other people.

  16. You are announcing the winner on my baby brother’s birthday. This yarn is begging me to try to make socks but if I made him some socks it would take more than three skeins. Lol We’ve called him Bigfoot for years.

Oh my ???? Thank you for being so generous to us and allowing us a chance to win this gorgeous ???? yarn. I have never had the privilege ???? of this specific yarn however; would feel blessed ???? to win some!

  18. The colors seem perfect for a scarf or maybe a cowl! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to win these and try out the yarn, which is new to me.

  19. Wow, These yarns are awesome! The number 1 item needed in our homeless shelters near Lexington Ky. is SOCKS! As soon as I saw these yarns, I knew they would be perfect for good thick socks. Some of our people caught in this situation have mental as well as physical challenges, and are reluctant to stay overnight in the shelters. Good socks lessen the danger of frostbite and extreme pain if they stay out overnight. And the children living in our shelters get something brand new and just for them. How nice of you to give these away!

I would love to loom knit a hat and scarf with the yarn. I think it is wonderful that you are having a giveaway. Thank you so much for your generosity. Mona from Saint Louis
